Ingredients
- 1 pound Medium cut bacon (not too thin)
- ¾ cups brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a baking rack over the foil.
Arrange the bacon on the grill in a single layer without overlapping. If necessary, work in batches. Sprinkle lightly with brown sugar and black pepper. Use the back of a spoon to smooth it out and spread it evenly. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Carefully remove the bacon from the oven and flip it over. Sprinkle lightly with brown sugar and black pepper. Use the back of a spoon to smooth it out and spread it evenly. Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Using tongs, move the bacon onto parchment paper so it doesn’t stick to the cooling rack. Allow to cool for a few minutes before handling.
Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container or resealable bag in the refrigerator.
