Easy Chicken Parmesan is a delicious Italian cheese chicken recipe that can be on the table in about 30 minutes. This delicious classic is a family favorite, so hearty and full of healthy natural ingredients.
- ¼ cups Freshly grated parmesan cheese
- ½ cups Italian breadcrumbs
- ¼ teaspoons Dried basil
- ½ teaspoon Dried oregano
- 1 tbsp Dried parsley
- 1 Egg
- 2 Large chicken breasts, halved lengthwise
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 teaspoons Balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup Freshly grated mozzarella
- ½ cups Grated Provolone
Combine Parmesan, breadcrumbs, basil, oregano and parsley in a shallow dish.
Lightly beat the egg in a shallow bowl.
Salt and pepper the chicken breasts then place them in the beaten egg, turning them to coat the chicken well. Dip the chicken breasts in the breadcrumb/parmesan mixture.
Place the butter and oil in a large ovenproof skillet, melt and coat the skillet. Cook the chicken over medium heat until golden brown. About 5 minutes on each side. Place the pan in the oven at 300 degrees for 5 minutes.
Combine marinara sauce and balsamic vinegar in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 2 minutes at 50% power or until hot. Remove the chicken from the oven. Gently add the marinara. Sprinkle the mozzarella and provolone cheese evenly over the chicken. Cover loosely with foil and simmer for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
