How to make hypoallergenic butterless popcorn at home with just three ingredients, on the stovetop without the popcorn maker.
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil or dairy-free butter
- Salt to taste
- 5 tablespoons Popcorn kernels
Heat coconut oil or dairy-free butter in a saucepan over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add salt to taste and corn kernels. Toss to coat the salt grains then cover with a lid.
If you’re using a gas stove, once you hear the popping sound, turn the heat down to avoid burns. If using electricity, turn off the stove. Wait for the popping to stop then remove from the heat. Wait a few seconds to see if there are no more clicks. Then remove the lid and serve in a bowl.
