The bread in this delicious, easy-to-make ham, turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich is dipped in an egg mixture and seared to golden perfection.
- 2 Eggs
- ¼ cups Milk
- 4 slices Bread
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 4 slices Türkiye
- 4 slices ham
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 tbsp Granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons Strawberry jam
In a large bowl, whisk your eggs and milk together.
Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on 2 slices of bread and 1 tablespoon of mustard on the other 2 slices of bread. Now place a piece of Swiss cheese on each slice of bread. Then layer each slice of mayonnaise with 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of turkey. Gather the pieces of bread to form 2 complete sandwiches. Using a cutting board, lightly compress the sandwich.
Now melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture; turning to coat both sides. Add the sandwich to the hot skillet and cook until browned on both sides. Cover the pan with a loose piece of foil to ensure the cheese melts and any egg mixture cooks well.
If desired, dust with powdered sugar and serve with a side of strawberry or raspberry jam.
