Ingredients
- 1 pork shoulder
- FOR THE DRY RUB:
- ¼ cups seasoning salt
- 1 tbsp Ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Celery salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Preparation
Preheat smoker to 200ºF. Load the smoker with hickory wood, apple wood, or cherry wood.
Mix all the ingredients for the dry marinade in a bowl. Generously sprinkle the pork with the marinade until it is completely coated.
Place pork in smoker fat side up and smoke for 4 hours. After 4 hours, wrap the pork in butcher paper or aluminum foil and increase the temperature to 250ºF. Smoke another 4 hours.
Remove the meat and let rest for 15 minutes before serving. Shred with a fork and serve with your favorite barbecue sauce.
