Serves: 2
Ingredients
- 1 grid St Louis Style Ribs
- Rub:
- ½ cups brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp Kosher salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Additional ingredients during foil wrapping:
- ½ cups Liquid Butter
- ½ cups brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Preparation
Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane.
Take a bowl and mix together the brown sugar, paprika, ground black pepper, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
Use the marinade to season both sides of the ribs. Be sure to use enough to cover both sides.
Preheat your smoker to 250F and add wood chips. For this recipe, I used hickory.
Place the ribs in the smoker and let them cook for 3 hours.
After 3 hours, add liquid butter, brown sugar and apple cider vinegar to the meat side of the ribs. Then cover the ribs with aluminum foil. Put them back in the smoker and let them cook for 2 hours.
Once the 2 hours are up, unwrap the ribs and coat them with your favorite BBQ sauce. Leave the ribs unwrapped and return them to the smoker for 1 more hour.
