Serves: 6
Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- ½ Onion, diced
- ¼ cups Whiskey
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- ¼ cups Jalapeño slices in jar, optional
- 6 Little bread
Preparation
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Form 6 small patties.
Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the patties on both sides until cooked.
Remove the patties from the skillet and add the diced onion to the skillet. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Once the onion starts to get soft, carefully pour the whiskey into the pan. Stir and let reduce by half.
Reduce the heat to low and pour in your favorite barbecue sauce and add jalapeno slices. Mix.
Return the patties to the pan and pour the sauce over them. Simmer for a minute or two to thicken the sauce and ensure the patties are cooked.
Serve on buns (toasting the buns is best)!
Note: If you don’t want to use whisky, substitute with beef stock.
